WIND RESISTANCE
Dynasty performance shingles are built to resist wind, and have a limited high-wind warranty coverage for winds up to 130 mph (210 kmh).
AESTHETIC BEAUTY
Dynasty performance asphalt shingles are a premium-quality product. Laminated for protection against inclement weather, they deliver heavyweight construction as well as a coating of what IKO calls, “weathering asphalt,” that carries a Class 3 Impact Resistance rating. These good-looking shingles boost curb appeal and the facelift can also boost the resale value of your home.
THE ARMOURZONE® ADVANTAGE
Dynasty asphalt shingles with ArmourZone® are made in IKO’s “Advantage” size, which means these shingles are larger than most competitors’ comparable products — providing greater exposure for a dramatic look. ArmourZone is a 1-¼-inch-wide nailing surface for correct nail placement, reinforced by a tear-resistant band that provides additional fastening strength over a wider shingle surface area. Essentially, the nails applied in this area are perfectly positioned to help resist nail pull-through — and shingle blow-off — even in high winds.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
- Built-in Algae Resistance: Copper-coated granules are embedded into Dynasty shingles, and this helps inhibit growth of blue-green algae (which can cause black stains, streaks and discoloration on a roof).
- IKO FastLock® Sealant Strips: Positioned along the bottom edge of Dynasty shingles, these strips help prevent wind-driven rain from penetrating inbetween and underneath the shingles. Activated by the heat of the sun, FastLock Sealant Strips get extra-tacky, creating a strong bond that helps ensure maximum protection against wind uplift, blow-off and water penetration.
- The Fiberglass Mat: IKO’s fiberglass mat is coated — on the top and bottom — with weathering asphalt before being surfaced with colored, protective granules for a heavy-duty mat that’s incredibly durable.
COLORS
IKO Dynasty shingles are available in an array of high-definition color blends to match the aesthetic of your home. Features include deep shadow bands for contrast, along with highlights in the shingle pattern.
A Note on Color Accuracy
Before we take a look at the Dynasty line of colors, we’d like to mention that getting the shingle color just right is a big part of any roofing purchase. That said, no matter which asphalt roofing product you ultimately go with, keep in mind that it’s best to request a shingle sample before making any decisions. Why? Because computers, phones and tablets may produce color variations, and the last thing you want is for your roof color to look different than you expected.
